Our landscaping process includes detailed design plans from an experienced landscape designer, line-itemized estimates that tell you precisely what to expect, a timeline that we adhere to as closely as possible, and valuable warranties on plants, hardscapes, and more. Keep reading to get a better idea of how our process works.
1. Reach Out to Us
First, you get in touch with our experienced team through email, phone, or our online contact form. One of our friendly office representatives will call back within one business day to discuss the budget and what work you want done. We will schedule a 20-Minute Discovery call with your Customer Success Manager (CSM), which we prepare for by sending you a design questionnaire. The questionnaire asks you a variety of questions to help us better understand your landscaping dreams. You will also have the opportunity to share photos and important documents, such as a property survey. We also encourage you to create a Pinterest board to share your ideas.
2. Theiss 20-Minute Discovery Call
Scheduling a discovery call with your Customer Success Manager (CSM) before your in-person On-Site Landscape Consultation with your Landscape Designer offers several key benefits that will enhance your overall experience. Your CSM is your primary point of contact throughout your landscaping journey, and will be involved and guide you every step of the way. This preliminary conversation allows us to gather essential information about your needs, preferences, project scope, and budget, ensuring that we come prepared with tailored ideas and solutions. It helps us identify potential challenges early on, so we can address them proactively. If both parties feel good about moving forward, we'll schedule your On-Site Landscape Consultation, which is a $200 investment.
3. The On-Site Landscape Consultation
During the consultation, an experienced landscape designer will come to your home or property to take photos, measure the area, and talk things over with you. We will listen to your vision, ideas, and concerns to help guide our recommendations and solutions. We will also note possible issues, such as drainage or structural concerns, which we can then work into our plan.
The on-site landscape consultation costs $200, which will be credited to your project if you decide to move forward with us for installation. Most projects include design within the $200 on-site consultation fee, with the exception of some larger construction projects, which may have additional design fees.
4. Design Plan and Itemized Estimate
You'll receive a thorough design plan within 7-10 days of your on-site consultation. The plan includes scaled 2D designs that are easy-to-read, and you have the option to receive 3D renderings, which start at $500. Our years of experience and attention to detail offer you a design plan that provides exceptional value. Everything from drainage to plant type is accounted for in the personalized design plan.
The plan also includes detailed, line-itemized estimates, so you will face no surprises later on.
When you approve of the plan, sign the installation agreement, which includes payment terms. We will work with you to determine a schedule and project start date, which we adhere to barring any unforeseen weather or supply delays.
5. Landscape Installation
After you pay the 30% deposit, we can schedule your installation start date, which is typically within 2-3 weeks. You'll receive a timeline that we stick to, weather permitting.
One of our experienced Project Managers will be your designated point of contact for any questions or concerns. Your Project Manager will provide frequent updates (depending on the project) via phone calls and emails.
We clean up after ourselves at the end of each work day, making sure you don't feel like you're living in an unfinished work zone during the installation process. This is all part of our "Clean Job Site Promise."
6. Review and Warranties
It's now time to enjoy your dream outdoor space! The final review day won't come as a surprise to you because you will already know the timeline. Your Project Manager will walk through the property with you to review the final product. You will receive a moisture meter to easily test your soil and a document to help you determine the best ways to water your trees, plantings, etc. We will also provide you with warranties and tell you about their value.
At this time, we collect the final payment. Thanks to our detailed and transparent estimate, there should be no surprises!
